The 05 Day National Level Faculty Development Program on Scientific Writing Skills for Research & Publication was successfully conducted by Scrollwell in collaboration with Almas College of Nursing from July 21 to July 25, 2026. The program aimed to strengthen participants’ scientific writing abilities and enhance their understanding of the research publication process.
Through expert-led sessions, practical demonstrations, and interactive discussions, participants explored the essential principles of scientific writing, manuscript preparation, reference management, publication ethics, and grant proposal development. The FDP provided a structured roadmap for developing high-quality research manuscripts and improving publication success.
Event Highlights
The FDP commenced with the fundamentals of effective scientific writing. Participants learned the principles of clarity, coherence, grammar, sentence structure, and logical flow required for high-quality academic writing.
Furthermore, the program focused on scientific manuscript preparation, helping participants understand the structure of research papers, characteristics of publishable manuscripts, and techniques for analyzing scientific literature. The sessions emphasized writing research papers that meet academic publishing standards.
The FDP also covered reference management, citation best practices, and conference abstract writing. Participants explored effective ways to organize references, prepare academic citations, and develop concise scientific abstracts for conferences. In addition, the program provided detailed guidance on the research publication process. Participants learned about the IMRAD structure, journal selection strategies, publication ethics, reporting guidelines, plagiarism prevention, and the editorial and peer-review process.
The concluding sessions introduced participants to research funding opportunities and grant proposal writing. Practical discussions helped attendees understand the key components of competitive grant applications and the fundamentals of securing research funding.

The FDP witnessed active participation from faculty members, researchers, doctoral scholars, postgraduate students, and healthcare professionals representing various institutions and disciplines.
