The Capacity Building with AI program was successfully conducted from April 13 to April 18, 2026, for First-Year Textile Engineering students, organized by DKTE Society’s Textile and Engineering Institute.
The initiative aimed to introduce students to the rapidly evolving world of Artificial Intelligence and help them understand how AI can support learning, creativity, and future career growth.
The program focused on making AI simple, practical, and relatable for students. Through interactive sessions and real-world examples, participants explored how AI tools can improve productivity, simplify academic tasks, and support innovative thinking.
Event Highlights
During the six-day program, students were introduced to a variety of AI-powered tools and applications. The sessions covered smart prompting techniques, AI-assisted content creation, presentation development, and productivity enhancement tools.
In addition, students learned how AI can support project work, communication, brainstorming, and academic activities. The sessions also highlighted the importance of responsible AI usage and encouraged students to use technology ethically and effectively.
What made the program especially engaging was its interactive and practical approach. Students actively participated in discussions, explored tools during live demonstrations, and shared their ideas and experiences throughout the sessions.
Participation Details
The program witnessed enthusiastic participation from First-Year Textile Engineering students across all three batches. Students remained actively involved throughout the sessions and showed genuine curiosity about the applications of AI in academics and industry.
Moreover, participants asked insightful questions and explored how AI skills can help them in future projects, internships, and professional opportunities. Their energy and involvement created a highly interactive learning environment.
Outcomes
By the end of the program, students developed a strong foundational understanding of AI and its practical applications. They gained confidence in using AI tools for content creation, presentations, idea generation, and productivity improvement.
Furthermore, the sessions encouraged students to think beyond traditional learning methods and adopt a more innovative and technology-driven approach. As a result, participants became more aware of the growing importance of AI skills in modern education and future careers.
