Scrollwell conducted the 14-Day Advanced Faculty Development Program on “AI for Research: Literature, Data Analysis & Scopus Publication” from September 25 to October 8, 2026. The program focused on integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) into academic research, data analysis, scientific writing, and scholarly publication.

The FDP was designed to help participants explore AI-powered research workflows and modern academic tools. Across 14 sessions, participants learned about research gap identification, literature reviews, systematic reviews, data analysis using Advanced Excel, manuscript development, and Scopus publication strategies. The program also covered responsible AI use, research automation, and emerging AI agents.

Event Highlights

The FDP began with AI-powered research workflows, research gap identification, and question formulation. Participants explored AI tools for literature discovery, literature reviews, systematic reviews, PRISMA, and bibliometric analysis.

The program also covered research methodology, data analysis using Advanced Excel, and data visualization. Participants explored AI-assisted scientific writing, manuscript development, Scopus and Web of Science publications, journal selection, and peer review.

Additionally, the sessions addressed AI-assisted grant writing, research proposals, and AI agents for research automation. Throughout the program, responsible AI use and academic integrity remained important themes.

Participation Details

The FDP offered a structured online learning experience for faculty members, researchers, doctoral scholars, and academic professionals. The daily one-hour sessions covered different stages of the research process, from identifying a research problem to preparing a manuscript for publication.

The online format allowed participants to attend sessions remotely. In addition, the program’s broad curriculum connected literature discovery, research methodology, data analysis, scientific writing, and publication into a single learning pathway.

Outcomes

The FDP helped participants develop a broader understanding of how AI can support different stages of academic research. They explored methods for identifying research gaps, formulating research questions, conducting literature reviews, and organizing evidence through systematic and bibliometric approaches.

Participants also gained exposure to data analysis and visualization using Advanced Excel and AI-assisted tools. Furthermore, the publication-focused sessions strengthened their understanding of manuscript development, journal selection, submission procedures, and peer review.

The sessions on proposal writing and research automation introduced additional ways to support research productivity. Throughout the program, responsible AI use remained an important consideration, emphasizing the need to verify outputs and maintain academic integrity.

Feedback

The FDP brought together key areas of modern research within a structured 14-day program. Its curriculum connected research planning, literature analysis, data interpretation, scientific writing, and publication practices.

The inclusion of AI-assisted tools, Advanced Excel, Scopus publication strategies, and research automation provided participants with a broad view of emerging approaches to academic research. The program also highlighted the importance of combining technological assistance with critical thinking and independent academic judgment.
