The 14 Days Faculty Development Program on Research in the Age of AI: Manuscript Development, Scopus-Indexed Publications and Grant Writing was successfully conducted by Scrollwell to empower academic professionals with advanced AI-driven research skills. The program focused on transforming traditional research workflows by integrating modern AI tools for manuscript development, publication, and grant writing.
Moreover, the initiative aimed to bridge the gap between conventional academic practices and emerging AI technologies. As a result, participants gained clarity on how to improve research quality, efficiency, and global publication outcomes.
Event Highlights
Throughout the program, participants engaged in a structured learning journey covering the complete research lifecycle. Initially, sessions introduced the fundamentals of AI in academic research along with ethical considerations. Then, participants explored AI tools for literature review, ideation, and questionnaire development.
In addition, the program provided hands-on exposure to reference management tools such as Mendeley and Zotero, which helped streamline citations and bibliographies. Participants also learned manuscript writing techniques using AI-supported tools, ensuring clarity, coherence, and academic integrity.
Furthermore, dedicated sessions focused on Scopus-indexed publication strategies and journal selection, helping participants understand quality benchmarks in academic publishing. The program also covered AI-assisted grant writing, where participants learned how to structure proposals and refine research ideas effectively.
Towards the end, sessions on data management using Excel and AI tools enhanced participants’ ability to interpret and present research data efficiently. The program concluded with a structured learning outcome assessment to reinforce key concepts.
Participation Details
The FDP witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, researchers, and postgraduate students across various disciplines. Since the program was conducted online, it enabled flexible learning while maintaining consistent engagement. Moreover, participants actively interacted during sessions and raised research-specific queries. The continuous engagement reflected strong interest in applying AI tools to real-world academic challenges.
Outcomes
By the end of the program, participants developed a comprehensive understanding of AI-driven research workflows. They learned how to move from research ideation to manuscript development and publication with improved efficiency.
Additionally, participants gained practical skills in Scopus publication strategies, reference management, and grant proposal writing. As a result, they became more confident in producing high-quality research outputs. The program also enhanced awareness of ethical AI usage, ensuring that participants adopt responsible and credible research practices.
Feedback
Participants appreciated the structured design and practical orientation of the program. In particular, they valued the step-by-step guidance on manuscript development and publication strategies. Moreover, the real-world examples and tool-based demonstrations made complex concepts easier to understand. Overall, feedback remained highly positive, highlighting the relevance and impact of the program.
