Position Overview

Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms-CAMP is inviting applications from highly motivated candidates for the role of Post-Doctoral Translation Scientist at the Discovery to Innovation Accelerator (DIA). This is a contract-based position, ideal for early-career researchers who are passionate about translational science and applied innovation.

Roles and Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be expected to contribute to a wide range of activities at the Discovery to Innovation Accelerator (DIA), including but not limited to:

Responsibility AreaDetails
Translational ResearchDesign and execute translational research protocols for multiple projects under DIA.
Laboratory WorkPlan and conduct laboratory experiments, field trials, and validation studies. Collect, analyze, and interpret data.
DocumentationMaintain accurate records of all experiments and ensure ready accessibility of data for reporting authorities.
Literature ReviewConduct reviews of scientific and regulatory literature to support ongoing research.
Grant and Report WritingPrepare grant applications, project proposals, progress reports, and presentations.
Team CollaborationWork collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams within DIA and across C-CAMP.
ConfidentialityMaintain strict confidentiality of projects and research workflows.
Regulatory KnowledgeApply understanding of agricultural regulatory frameworks (pesticides, biopesticides, GMO guidelines).
TrainingUndertake training in advanced techniques and provide subsequent training to team members.
Meetings and SeminarsActively participate in project meetings, lab discussions, and seminars.
TravelTravel occasionally as required for fieldwork and project collaborations.

Eligibility Criteria

RequirementDetails
Educational QualificationPh.D. in Agriculture, Plant Sciences, or related disciplines. Candidates who have submitted their thesis towards PhD completion may also be considered.
Experience0–2 years of postdoctoral or relevant industry experience.
Research OutputA strong record of publications and/or patents.
Additional Desirable QualificationsNational fellowship holders (CSIR-JRF, UGC-JRF, DBT-JRF, ICMR-JRF, GATE, etc.) will be given preference.
Special SkillsUnderstanding of Intellectual Property (IP) management, productization, and commercialization is desirable.
