NIT Trichy Recruitment 2025 – Project Associate-I & Project Assistant

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, has released an official notification inviting applications for the positions of Project Associate-I and Project Assistant under an industry-sponsored project. Eligible and motivated candidates are encouraged to apply through postal mode before the deadline.

About the Organization

The National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NIT Trichy), formerly known as Regional Engineering College (REC), was established in 1964 as a joint venture of the Government of India and the Government of Tamil Nadu. It is one of India’s premier institutions, recognized nationally and internationally for excellence in engineering, technology, and research. The institute is located on the banks of the River Cauvery in Tamil Nadu and enjoys autonomy in financial and administrative matters, enabling rapid development and growth.

Qualifications

For Project Associate-I:

• Essential Qualification:
  • B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering
  • M.Tech/M.E. in Geotechnical Engineering / Structural Engineering or any other relevant specialization from an AICTE/MoE recognized Institute/University with First Class.

For Project Assistant:

• Essential Qualification:
  • B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering from an AICTE/MoE recognized Institute/University with First Class.

Desirable Qualifications (for both posts):

• Proficiency in AutoCAD for drafting and detailing.
• Experience with STAAD.Pro for structural analysis and design.
• Knowledge of PLAXIS for geotechnical and soil-structure interaction modeling.

Salary Details

• Project Associate-I: ₹37,000/- per month (consolidated)
• Project Assistant: ₹20,000/- per month (consolidated)

Duration

• The appointment will be for a period of six months.
