Officially approved by the Union Cabinet on 4th December 2019, AIIMS Bilaspur is located in Kothipura village, District Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, on National Highway – 205 (Shimla–Kangra road). Spread across 247 acres, the institute aims to correct regional imbalances in tertiary healthcare services and enhance quality medical education in India.

The institute focuses on advancing undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, developing teaching patterns across medical disciplines, and setting a benchmark in healthcare training and service delivery.

Eligibility Criteria

1. Educational Qualification:
   • As per Annexure-A of the official notification.
   • Candidates with DNB qualifications must provide equivalence proof as per MCI notification dated 31-10-2018.
2. Experience Requirements:
   • Candidates trained in DNB institutions listed in categories (a) and (b) of MCI notification do not require additional experience.
   • Those trained in (c) and (d) category institutions require 1–2 years additional experience.
3. Age and Cut-off Date:
   • Eligibility criteria (age, qualification, experience) must be fulfilled by 22nd September 2025.
   • Applications not meeting eligibility will be rejected.
