Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU), Agricultural College, Mahanandi, invites eligible candidates for a Teaching Associate position in the Department of Agricultural Economics for the academic year 2025–2026. The university seeks passionate educators and researchers who can contribute to quality teaching, academic guidance, and innovative research in the field of agriculture.

About the Institution

Established on 18 August 1991, the Agricultural College, Mahanandi ANGRAU began its journey within the Regional Agricultural Research Station (Cotton Research Station) under the leadership of Dr. A. Satyanarayana Reddy, the founding principal. The college shifted to its present campus at M.C. Farm, Mahanandi, on 9 February 1996.

Over the past three decades, the college has made remarkable progress in infrastructure, academics, and research. To date, 21 batches of undergraduate students and 720 graduates have successfully completed their degrees in agriculture. The postgraduate program, introduced in 2011, continues to offer advanced studies in Agronomy and Genetics and Plant Breeding, with 40 students having completed their post-graduation so far.

Position Overview

Eligibility Criteria

Essential Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in the relevant subject, or
• Master’s Degree in the relevant discipline with a 4/5-year Bachelor’s Degree having first-class or equivalent OGPA.
• Minimum three years of teaching or research experience, evidenced by Fellowship/Associateship/Training/other engagements.
• At least one research paper published in a Science Citation Index (SCI) or NAAS-rated journal (rating > 4.0).
• Candidates with a postgraduate degree in Basic Sciences (3-year bachelor’s + 2-year master’s) must have NET qualification.

Desirable:

• Ph.D. in the relevant field.

• Hold a UG/PG degree in Agricultural Economics or a related field with strong academic records.
• Demonstrate effective communication and teaching abilities.
