INSPIRE-Exciting Opportunity for School Students
Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research or INSPIRE is a flagship programme by Department of Science and Technology of Government of India. This program is a great opportunity for school students to create some exciting ideas and present them to win exciting prizes.
The objective of the scheme is to target one million ideas for improved research of science and technology. It is a good method to motivate students of class 6 to 10.

About the Registration
The registration process for submission of ideas has started. A school can submit 5 recommended ideas from the submitted ones for the programme.
The last day to submit nominations is 30th September 2024.
For new registration, a school has to opt for new registration and get a permanent registration number.
If registered earlier, a school has to login to the portal and can submit ideas accordingly.

Recommended Ideas For INSPIRE
The organisation has recommended the students to think out of the box and go beyond their textbooks. Ideas related to energy generator, carbon cycle/ hydrogen cycle and other common topics are not encouraged.
You can focus more on topics that cater to the environment and are eco – friendly. Nanotechnology and green principles of synthesis are some of the innovative topics that a student can focus on.
The program receives more than 10 lakh nominations from schools from which top 1 lakh ideas get a cash prize of Rs. 10,000 each.
