Position Overview
The Grants Officer will support the effective administration of extramural grants from national, international, philanthropic and CSR funding sources. The position involves careful monitoring of project timelines, expenditure, compliance and reporting. Since the role requires coordination across several stakeholders, the selected candidate must demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
The Grants Officer will handle a broad set of responsibilities to ensure smooth project administration. These include:
- Supporting all post-award activities such as grant activation, reporting, extensions, transfers and project closure.
- Monitoring project timelines, deliverables and expenditure using the Grant Management System.
- Ensuring proper utilisation of funds in line with agency norms and institutional guidelines.
- Preparing both financial and technical reports in coordination with PIs and finance teams.
- Managing and analysing grant-related data to generate internal reports.
- Identifying emerging funding trends to support institutional planning.
- Engaging with funding agencies and donors, when required.
- Addressing queries related to grant administration.
- Supporting fundraising activities and programme renewals.
- Collaborating with colleagues across departments and taking on additional tasks when necessary.

Duration of Appointment

Essential Qualification
- Master’s Degree, preferably in Sciences or Management.
Essential Skills
- Strong proficiency in MS Office applications.

- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
Desirable Experience
- Prior experience in post-award grant management or research administration.
