The Indian Maritime University (IMU), Kochi Campus has opened applications for contractual faculty positions in the academic year 2025–2026. Interested candidates must apply via Email or Postal mode before 17th October 2025.

About the Institution

The Indian Maritime University (IMU) came into existence through an Act of Parliament (Act 22) on 14th November 2008. Established as a Central University, IMU plays a key role in preparing highly skilled human resources for the maritime sector. The creation of IMU fulfilled the long-standing dream of the Indian maritime community to have a dedicated center for maritime education.

Every year, 14th November is celebrated as IMU Day, marking its foundation. The Kochi Campus has steadily grown as a hub for programs in logistics, shipping, supply chain, and management education, offering both academic rigor and industry relevance.

Position Overview

Eligibility Criteria

Faculty (Logistics and Supply Chain Management)

• Graduation with a strong academic record.
• MBA in Logistics and Supply Chain Management / Transportation Management / International Business OR M.Com in the same field with minimum 55% marks.
• Ph.D. in the relevant area OR UGC-NET / SLET / SET qualification.

General Management including Retail Management

• Graduation with a strong academic record.
• MBA in General Management with specialization in Marketing / HRM / Finance OR M.Com in the same with minimum 55% marks.
• Ph.D. in the relevant area OR UGC-NET / SLET / SET qualification.

Analytics / E-Commerce

• Graduation with a strong academic record.
• MBA in Analytics / E-Commerce / IT / Operations OR M.Com in the same with minimum 55% marks.
• Ph.D. in the relevant area OR UGC-NET / SLET / SET qualification.

Salary / Pay Scale

The university will offer pay commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications and experience, as per IMU norms.
