Tata Memorial Centre Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC), Navi Mumbai has released an official notification for the recruitment of Teaching and Non-Teaching Faculty positions for the academic year 2025–2026. The centre is inviting applications from eligible candidates for multiple disciplines in both teaching and clinical research roles. Interested candidates must apply online before 10th October 2025.
About the Institution
The Tata Memorial Centre ACTREC traces its origins back to 1952 with the establishment of the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC) in Parel, Mumbai, under the Ministry of Health, Government of India.
In 1966, ICRC was renamed the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) and later amalgamated with the Tata Memorial Hospital (TMH). This integration led to the formation of Tata Memorial Centre (TMC), the first comprehensive cancer centre in India. TMC now functions as an autonomous grant-in-aid institution under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.
Over the years, ACTREC has emerged as a pioneer in cancer research, advanced treatment, and academic training. It continues to play a critical role in cancer care and education nationwide.
