Hyperlink Policy
Last Updated: August 30, 2025
1. Purpose & Scope
This Hyperlink Policy outlines Scrollwell’s approach to hyperlinks that appear on our official website (www.scrollwell.com) and within content published under Scrollwell Plus (including Careers, Conferences, Events, Contests, FDPs, Fellowships, Grants, Guides, Jobs, News, Our Work, Press Releases, Research, Tools, and Updates).
It governs:
- Outbound links from Scrollwell to third-party websites (“External Sites”).
- Inbound links from third-party websites to Scrollwell content.
This Policy applies to:
- All users of Scrollwell.
- All content published by Scrollwell.
- All official Scrollwell domains and subdomains (listed in Section 2).
2. Definitions & Official Scrollwell Domains
2.1 Definitions
- External Site: Any website, page, or service not owned or controlled by Scrollwell.
- Affiliate Link: A link containing tracking information that allows Scrollwell to receive a commission or referral fee when a user completes a qualifying action.
- Scrollwell Plus Content: Curated editorial content published under Scrollwell’s premium or thematic channels.
2.2 Official Scrollwell Domains (Internal Properties)
The following are official Scrollwell properties and are considered internal links (not subject to External Site disclaimers):
- scrollwell.com (primary domain)
- scrollwell.com/corporate
- aischool.scrollwell.com
- link.scrollwell.com
- leap.scrollwell.com
Outbound links from these domains to External Sites follow the practices outlined in this Policy.
3. Outbound Links (Links to Other Websites)
3.1 Purpose
Scrollwell includes outbound links to provide additional, relevant, and complementary information for our users.
3.2 No Endorsement
A link to any External Site does not imply endorsement, sponsorship, approval, or partnership by Scrollwell.
3.3 Liability & Accuracy
Scrollwell does not control External Sites and cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of their content. Users access these sites at their own risk. Scrollwell disclaims all liability for damages arising from their use.
3.4 User Responsibility
Users should review the Terms of Service, privacy policy, and other relevant information of an External Site before interacting with it (e.g., applying for jobs, grants, fellowships, or event registrations).
3.5 Technical Behavior
- External links usually open in a new tab/window for user convenience.
- Internal links between Scrollwell domains may open in the same tab or a new tab, based on editorial or UX decisions.
4. Special Guidelines for Scrollwell Plus Content
Because Scrollwell Plus consolidates opportunities and resources, the following clarifications apply:
- Jobs, Fellowships, Grants: Links usually lead to official application pages on External Sites. Scrollwell is not the employer or granting authority and is not responsible for eligibility, deadlines, or selection outcomes.
- Events, Conferences, Contests, FDPs: Links direct users to the organizer’s official site. Scrollwell is not responsible for event management, registrations, cancellations, or refunds.
- Tools & Guides: Links to third-party tools or resources are for informational purposes only. Scrollwell does not guarantee their functionality, pricing, or security.
- News, Research, Press Releases, Updates: Links to external reporting or research are included for context and attribution. Scrollwell is not responsible for their editorial accuracy.
5. What We Will Link To

- Relevant – directly related to the content and useful to our readers.
- Credible – produced by reliable and authoritative sources.
- Secure – accessible over HTTPS whenever possible.

- Illegal activities.
- Malware, phishing, or fraudulent practices.
- Unsafe, unmoderated forums with harmful content.
Scrollwell reserves full discretion to determine whether a site falls into these categories.
7. Affiliate Links & Disclosure
Scrollwell may participate in affiliate or referral programs. When affiliate links are used:
- Their presence will be clearly disclosed on the page or post.
- Clicking an affiliate link may result in a commission for Scrollwell at no extra cost to the user.
- Editorial judgment remains independent of affiliate relationships.
Example disclosure language is provided in Appendix B.
8. Inbound Links (Linking to Scrollwell)
We welcome links to Scrollwell, subject to these conditions:
