VAIBHAV Fellowship Program 2025 by, Government of India – Apply Now

The Department of Science and Technology (DST), under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, has launched the VAIBHAV Fellowship Program 2025. This initiative aims to foster collaboration between scientists of the Indian diaspora and Indian research institutions. By facilitating such partnerships, the program seeks to accelerate India’s progress in science and technology.

Through this fellowship, researchers of Indian origin living abroad can collaborate with Indian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), public-funded research bodies, and universities. Unlike typical fellowships, VAIBHAV allows fellows to visit India for up to two months annually for a maximum of three years.

For VAIBHAV Fellows

  • Submit a detailed report to DST within 21 days post-visit.

For Host Institutions

  • Provide lab space, office facilities, and logistical support.
  • Initiate projects aligned with national priorities.
  • Collaborate on technology translation, start-ups, or incubation.
  • Prepare and submit annual and final project reports jointly with the fellow.
