Akikaran REACH Fellowship Program 2025

NEAID (Northeast Centre for Equity Action on Integrated Development) is inviting applications for the role of Research Lead under its transformative Akikaran REACH Fellowship program. This is a unique opportunity for individuals with a strong background in field research and social development to drive impactful change in Northeastern India.
The Akikaran REACH Fellowship is designed to tackle the systemic challenges faced by marginalized communities in remote Indian regions. The program aims to bring about equitable access to education, gender equity, social inclusion, and mental well-being, through community-led development and capacity building.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Fellowship Director, Coordinator, and PMU team to identify research needs.
  • Design and implement research methodologies to assess the Fellowship’s impact.
  • Develop tools such as surveys, interviews, and FGDs for data collection.
  • Conduct field research using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Analyze collected data to evaluate outcomes, challenges, and improvement areas.
  • Convert findings into public knowledge goods (e.g., reports, publications, presentations).
  • Provide actionable recommendations to enhance program design and execution.

Eligibility Criteria

QualificationMaster’s degree or higher in Education, Social Sciences, Organizational Development, or related disciplines
ExperienceMinimum 3 years in field/action/participatory research, preferably within fellowship or development programs
Skills RequiredStrong data analysis, problem-solving, report writing, and communication skills; proficiency in research tools/software

Desired Attributes

  • Ability to work independently and in multicultural teams.
  • Understanding of educational practices and organizational development.
  • Familiarity with developing and disseminating public knowledge goods.
  • Willingness to travel to field locations if required.

Salary

The selected candidate will receive a salary package between ₹6–8 LPA, depending on experience and qualifications.


Job Location

The role is based in Guwahati, Assam, with remote work options available.
