About the Project

The KEM Hospital Research Centre invites applications for the Clinical Research Training Program (CRTP) Fellowship, an integral part of the RespINDNet network, funded by Wellcome DBT India Alliance. This project focuses on viral respiratory infections in children and includes both community-based and hospital-based epidemiological studies.

The CRTP fellowship provides an opportunity to:

  • Develop independent research proposals related to viral respiratory infections in children.
  • Publish research papers based on collected data and biorepositories.
  • Participate in coursework conducted by experienced faculty from RespINDNet and partner institutions.
  • Engage in fieldwork and data collection in rural Pune.

Job Responsibilities

ResponsibilityDetails
Research DevelopmentDesign research proposals on respiratory viral infections in children in collaboration with other project sites.
Scientific WritingPublish research papers related to RespINDNet’s research questions.
FieldworkTravel to rural Pune for data collection and project coordination.
Coursework CompletionUndertake a structured training program on research methodologies and infectious diseases.
Data AnalysisAssist in analyzing research data collected through the project.

By the end of the fellowship, the candidate will have developed a strong research portfolio in infectious diseases.

    • Vadu Budruk Village, Taluka Shirur, Dist Pune
  2. KEM Hospital Research Centre, Pune

Eligibility Criteria

RequirementDetails
Educational QualificationMBBS or a higher degree in medicine
Preferred Experience– One to two years of research experience
– Publications in peer-reviewed journals (desirable)
