As part of the MPCST Sponsored One-Week National Workshop on “Intelligent Pharmaceuticals: Data Analytics and AI Across Drug Life Cycle”, a session on Data Analytics and AI in Pharmaceutical Research was conducted on March 17, 2026, at SIRTS-Pharmacy, Bhopal.

The session aimed to introduce participants to the growing role of data analytics and artificial intelligence in pharmaceutical research. It focused on how data-driven approaches can improve research quality, decision-making, and innovation across the drug development process.

Event Highlights

The session was delivered by Mr. Roshan Singh, who shared practical insights into the application of AI and data analytics in pharmaceutical research. He explained key concepts in a clear and structured manner, making them easy to understand for participants from diverse academic backgrounds.

In addition, the session demonstrated how AI tools handle complex datasets and identify patterns. It also showed how predictive analysis supports research workflows. Therefore, participants understood the importance of data-driven models in pharmaceutical R&D.

Moreover, the session remained highly interactive. Participants asked questions and engaged in discussions throughout. This approach significantly improved the learning experience.

The session witnessed active participation from students, faculty members, and researchers attending the national workshop. The hybrid mode enabled wider accessibility while maintaining strong engagement during the session.

Participants gained a comprehensive understanding of how AI and data analytics can be meaningfully integrated across the pharmaceutical drug life cycle – from target identification and lead optimization to clinical data management and regulatory submissions.

The session specifically equipped attendees with actionable knowledge on using AI responsibly as a research assistant, enhancing both the quality and efficiency of pharmaceutical research. Participants left with improved confidence in adopting AI-driven tools and a clearer roadmap for applying these technologies within their respective roles.
