The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) – Human Resource Development Group (HRDG) is inviting applications for the Senior Research Associateship (SRA) under the Scientists’ Pool Scheme. Fellowship Details and Responsibilities
- The fellowship tenure is up to 3 years, including any earlier tenure under the same scheme.
- Fellows must secure placement in academic/research institutions on their own.
- The associateship involves research and may include teaching and related duties.

Application Process
- Contact Host Institution: Candidate must first find and confirm placement in a recognized host institution.
- Submission of Application: Fill Form-1(a), along with Oath Form-1(b), and send to CSIR-HRDG.
- Upon Selection: Submit joining report (Form-2) in triplicate to HRDG within 3 months.
- Annual Reports: Submit progress (Form-3) and confidential reports (Form-4) every year.
Selection Process
- All applications are reviewed by the CSIR Fellowships Selection Committee.
- Evaluation is based on:
- Scientific merit of the proposed research.
- Candidate’s academic record and publication history.
- Relevance to national research goals.
Additional Information
- IP Rights & Patents: Governed by host institution or CSIR, depending on involvement.
- Accommodation: No direct provision. Candidates must make arrangements independently.
