About the Event

Scrollwell organised a 14-Day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Generative AI and Advanced Tools for Academic Research from October 25 to November 07, 2025, delivered in online mode through Zoom.

The program was developed to support faculty members, researchers, and academic professionals in integrating Artificial Intelligence tools across various stages of the research process, including literature review, data handling, writing, presentation development, and proposal drafting. Participants were guided step-by-step in using AI tools to improve research productivity while maintaining academic rigor and responsible practice.

This FDP emphasized hands-on, practical training, enabling participants to directly apply the tools demonstrated during the sessions.

Topics Covered

  1. AI in Academic Research
    Understanding the role of Generative AI in research planning, literature exploration, and academic workflows.
  2. AI-Assisted Writing and Documentation
    Using ChatGPT and similar tools for drafting, refining, and structuring academic content, including research papers and proposals.
  3. Reference and Citation Management
    Managing academic sources efficiently using Mendeley and Zotero for citation, bibliography, and document organization.
  4. Presentation and Communication Enhancement
    Developing professional presentations using PowerPoint and AI-enabled slide design tools to present research outcomes effectively.
  5. Data Handling and Academic Productivity Tools
    Applying Excel and other AI-supported platforms for data management, organization, and productivity improvement in research activities.

Participation Details

The FDP witnessed active participation from 60 faculty members and researchers representing multiple academic disciplines and institutions across India. The program fostered a collaborative learning environment, with participants engaging in hands-on exercises and discussion-based exploration of research practices.

By the conclusion of the FDP, participants:
