Shri. Binzani City College was established on 17th July 1930. It initially offered undergraduate programs in the Arts Faculty and expanded to Commerce in 1964-65. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
- Master’s Degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale) from a recognized Indian or foreign university.
- Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016, and their amendments from time to time.
- Candidates who have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR or a similar test like SET are preferred.
- Candidates registered for the Ph.D. program before July 11, 2009, can be exempted from NET/SET if they meet certain conditions:
- Ph.D. awarded in regular mode only.
- Ph.D. thesis evaluated by at least two external examiners.
- An open Ph.D. viva voce conducted.
- Published two research papers from Ph.D. work (at least one in a refereed journal).
- Presented at least two papers based on Ph.D. work at conferences/seminars funded by UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or similar agencies.
