Job Responsibilities
- Work on catalytic pyrolysis and biofuel upgradation in a pilot-scale pyrolysis reactor.
- Conduct experiments using high-pressure reactors and analyze biofuels.
- Perform heterogeneous catalyst synthesis and thermochemical biomass conversion (pyrolysis & gasification).
- Utilize advanced analytical tools (GCMS, HPLC, TGA, NMR, FTIR, etc.) to evaluate pyrolysis products.
- Interpret results, identify key challenges, and optimize processes.
- Collaborate with scientists and research teams while contributing to high-impact publications.
Eligibility Criteria
Requirement | Details |
---|---|
Educational Qualification | PhD in Chemistry, Energy Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Petrochemical Engineering OR MSc/MTech/ME in the same fields with 2-3 years of research experience. |
Experience | Fresh PhD candidates or 1-3 years of experience in catalytic biofuel conversion using thermochemical routes. |
Technical Skills | Experience in heterogeneous catalyst synthesis, bio-oil deoxygenation, and hydrotreatment. Knowledge of pyrolysis and gasification is essential. |
Analytical Skills | Strong expertise in GCMS, HPLC, TGA, NMR, FTIR, Calorimetry, and Gas Chromatography (GC). |
Soft Skills | Excellent technical writing skills, teamwork, communication, problem-solving, and integrity. |
Preferred Additional Knowledge | Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Techno-Economic Evaluation. |
