What is 5G?

5G is the next generation of mobile networks, a significant evolution of today’s 4G LTE network. 5G enables a new kind of network that is specially designed to increase connect virtually everyone and everything together including machines, objects, and devices, which will bring better experiences for every user.

5G has started hitting the market end of 2018 and will continue to expand worldwide. 5G wireless technology means to deliver higher multi-GBPS, low latency, and massive network, more reliability for the user. It also improves the performance of the business application as well as other digital experiences such as online gaming; video conferencing and many more fields like that.

How does 5G Technology work?

5G technology will introduce advances throughout network architecture. 5G networks use a system of cell sites that divide their sectors and send encoded data through radio waves. But 5G technology does not only depend upon the new radio spectrum. It is designed to support a converged, heterogeneous network combining licensed and unlicensed wireless technologies. This technology uses a type of encoding called OFDM (Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing).

5G technology is also improving digital experience through Machine Learning (ML) to automation. Demand for response times within a second that require 5G networks (such as technology for self-driving cars) to enlist automation with Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Deep Learning (DP). Automated provisioning and proactive management of traffic services will reduce infrastructure costs and improve the connected experience.

4G vs. 5G Network Technologies

The previous generations of mobile networks are

1G: The first generation of telecom networks (1979), it delivered voice.

2G: The second generation of telecom network with call and SMS(1991).

3G: brought a better mobile internet experience (1998).

4 G LTE : Doubled data speeds, starting in 2009,

The 5G is undoubtedly smarter, faster more stable than the 4G network. The key difference between these two networks is the reduced latency backed with 5G technology. In 2005 researchers try to test the 4G speed in Tokyo, and they succeeded to get the speed up to 1GBPS. 5G network will provide the speed for 100GBPD (approx), it will be more super than 4G internet.

5G not only demand for network it has great feature high speeds, superior reliability, and negligible latency that will expand the mobile ecosystem into new realms. 5G will impact every industry remote healthcare, digital world, digitized logistics, precision agriculture — and more.

Is 5G available now?

Yes, 5G service is already available in some areas in various countries. These early generation 5G services are called 5G non-standalone. Many countries expect a nationwide 5G mobile network in 2020. Also, all major Android phone manufacturers are commercializing 5G phones. It should start becoming available by 2020 and be commonly available by 2022.

Do I need new phone for 5G?

Yes, if you want to use a 5G network, you will need to get a new Smartphone that supports 5G networks. After a few months, there are several new mobile phones available that are designed to support 5G and multiple carriers across the world support the 5G wireless network. Consumers are very excited about the high speed and low latencies.  5G has been deployed in 35+ countries. We are seeing much faster rollout and adoption.
