This FDP on SPSS aims to equip participants with the necessary skills to analyze and interpret data using SPSS. The program will cover various statistical methods, including descriptive statistics, regression analysis, factor analysis, and cluster analysis. By the end of the workshop, participants will be proficient in handling data, applying statistical techniques, and interpreting results for research and decision-making.
Day 1: Introduction to SPSS, Data Coding, and Tabulation
-Overview of SPSS: Interface, functionalities, and applications
-Data input methods: Manual entry, importing from Excel, CSV, etc.
-Coding and labeling variables
-Data cleaning and handling missing values
-Tabulation and preliminary data summarization
Day 2: Descriptive Statistics
-Measures of central tendency: Mean, Median, and Mode
-Measures of dispersion: Range, Variance, Standard Deviation
-Graphical representation of data: Histograms, Box plots, and Scatter plots
-Normality tests and distribution analysis
Day 3 & 4: Correlation and Regression Analysis & Interpretation of Data
-Understanding correlation: Pearson, Spearman, and Kendall correlation
-Simple and multiple linear regression

-Interpretation of regression output and statistical significance
-Hands-on session with real-time datasets
Day 5: Factor AnalysisDP on SPSS
-Concept of factor analysis and its applications
-Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA)
-Principal Component Analysis (PCA) FDP on SPSS
-Interpretation of factor loadings and scree plots
-Practical exercises using SPSS

-Application of learned techniques on real-world data

Mode of Delivery:
Resource Persons will deliver lectures in interactive mode and conduct hands-on sessions in workshop mode through Zoom Video Conferencing platform.
