Minimum Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for Nalanda University’s Global PhD Program, applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. Hold a Master’s degree with at least 65% marks or an equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA) of 6.5 on a 10-point scale. This requirement applies to both national and international students.
  2. Possess a desirable dissertation at the Master’s level or an M.Phil. degree.
  3. Provide a brief Bio Note as a self-introduction.
  4. Include a Letter of Recommendation from references.
  5. Submit a Statement of Purpose outlining the reason for choosing the Global Ph.D. program.
  6. Present a detailed Research Proposal, subject to plagiarism checks.
  7. Provide evidence of a minimum of two writing samples of research or published papers.
  8. International candidates must submit a language proficiency certificate, such as TOEFL or IELTS, unless they have completed a full-time degree-level course with English as the medium of instruction.
